The government press service reported this on Telegram.
How long has the ban on importing goods across the border with Lithuania been extended?
As reported by the government, Resolution No. 182 of 14.03.2024, which established a ban on the import of a number of goods across the border with Lithuania for sale in Belarus, regardless of the country of origin, has been amended.
The ban has been extended until April 1 next year.
The Council of Ministers emphasized that this is a necessary measure to protect national interests and respond to unfriendly actions by Vilnius.
As reported, from April 1, Belarus banned the import from Lithuania of fruits, coffee, nuts, condensed milk and cream, tights, socks, stockings and other hosiery, refrigerators, freezers and certain construction products.
The import of wine, grape must, beer, vermouth and other fermented beverages, vinegar, ethyl alcohol, tires and tyres across the border with Lithuania was also prohibited.
