The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Igor Sergeenko, informed his compatriots about whether a wealth tax will be introduced in the country.
The topic began to be actively discussed after amendments were made to the Tax Code.
As the deputy said on the STV channel, the key adjustments include, among other things, the transport tax on expensive cars.
Also among the innovations is a tax on commercial property for individuals over 200 meters.
According to Sergienko, the innovations have been in effect since this year, but taxes will actually begin to be collected in 2025.
There are no discussions or proposals yet about introducing an additional wealth tax, the parliamentarian noted.
