If you lose your work record book, you must contact your employer for a duplicate.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus explained the procedure.
What to do if you lose your work book
A duplicate must be made. It is issued by the employer upon the employee's written request.
A dismissed employee submits an application to the employer at the last place of work within 6 months after dismissal.
The employer is obliged to issue a duplicate of the work record book no later than 15 calendar days from the date of submission of the application by the employee.
The employer fills out a duplicate of the work record book, the Ministry of Labor noted.
Since January 1 of this year, information on work activity is entered for the period: from January 1, 2003 – based on data from the Social Security Fund, before January 1, 2003 – based on documents provided by the employee from previous places of work.
