The Russian Defense Ministry reported that 125 Ukrainian drones were destroyed and intercepted by air defense forces last night.
The main blow fell on the Volgograd region, where 67 Ukrainian drones were shot down.
During the past night, during an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation, air defense systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 125 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs, the department’s Telegram channel said in an official statement.
It is specified that 67 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were intercepted and destroyed in the skies over the Volgograd region alone.
17 air targets were detected and eliminated over the territory of the Belgorod region.
Russian air defense crews shot down the same number of aircraft over the territory of the Voronezh region.
18 drones were neutralized in the skies over the Rostov region.
Another 3 UAVs were destroyed over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
The Russian military shot down one unmanned aerial vehicle each over the Bryansk and Kursk regions, as well as in the skies over the Krasnodar region.
