Alexander Lukashenko noted that since its creation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been tasked with preserving the Soviet industrial heritage, as well as developing new areas of high-tech production.
Currently, the Ministry of Industry unites dozens of enterprises.
They are the largest employers in the regions, have the status of system- and city-forming, but most importantly, they form the basis of the economy.
The President noted that the Ministry faces large-scale tasks.
It is necessary to strengthen the technological sovereignty and import independence of Belarus, increase opportunities “on the external contour”, and also find new logistics routes and markets.
