October in Belarus this year promises to be warmer than usual.
However, snow is possible in the third ten days of the month.
Meteorologist Dmitry Ryabov spoke about this on the ONT TV channel.
What October will be like in Belarus
The average monthly air temperature in October will exceed the climatic norm by one and a half degrees.
The norm for the second month of autumn is from +5 degrees in the north-eastern regions to +8 in the south-western regions and is 6 degrees lower than in September.
The weather will increasingly be determined by Atlantic cyclones, it will be warm and cold. Rain and cold wind are expected.
From about the middle of the second ten-day period, a steady decrease in average daily temperatures begins below +5 degrees.
The amount of precipitation will be within the norm. On average, there will be 11-16 days with precipitation and up to 2 weeks with fog.
In the third ten-day period of the month, precipitation often falls in the form of rain with snow, which quickly melts. At the end of October, slight frosts are possible.
There is also a possibility that October will give us another warm period – Indian summer, Ryabov summed up.
