Retail chains have extended a 10% discount on a range of products for vulnerable categories of the population

On September 26, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus and large retail chains signed an additional agreement on discounts on a number of goods for vulnerable categories of the population for the fourth quarter of this year.

This decision was made due to the expiration of the agreement, which was concluded in January 2022.

How the agreement on discounts for vulnerable categories of the population works

A discount of up to 10% is provided to large families, disabled people, pensioners, low-income groups of the population and applies to flour, bread, dry pasta, oatmeal, pearl barley, chicken carcasses, chickens, pork, beef, eggs, milk, sour cream, kefir, cottage cheese, apples, vegetables and other products.

The head of MART, Alexey Bogdanov, expressed gratitude to retail chains for supporting the discount program.

According to the minister, 14 of the largest trade organizations are participating in the program, and more than 2 million people have taken advantage of the discounts.

We are maintaining the same package – 29 product groups, ” the head of the department clarified.
