Belarusian military and riot police flew to Kazakhstan

It recently became known that Belarusian military and riot police flew to Kazakhstan.

The servicemen of the peacekeeping company of the 103rd Vitebsk separate guards airborne brigade of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces went there.

Also, fighters from one of the OMON units flew to Kazakhstan.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported this on its Telegram channel.

The department reports that the purpose of the visit is to participate in the command and staff exercise with the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2024”.

According to the ministry, the maneuvers will take place at the Bereg training ground in the Almaty region.

They “will become the final stage of a series of joint exercises” of the CSTO countries this year.

During the exercises, actions to prepare and conduct a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces will be practiced.

The Belarusian peacekeeping contingent is led by the Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, Colonel Alexei Elfimov, the ministry noted.
