Storm warning announced in Mogilev and Gomel regions for September 15-16

Due to the threat of fire danger in the Gomel and Mogilev regions, a storm warning has been issued again for September 15-16.

According to experts, the situation that has developed in the forest areas of the two regions corresponds to class V fire hazard.

A storm warning has been issued for 15 and 16 September in most of the Gomel and Mogilev regions, BELTA reports, citing the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The decision was made due to the extreme fire hazard corresponding to the fifth flammability class.

No precipitation is expected, except in the western regions, where short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some places.

Light fog is expected in some areas during the night and morning hours.

East wind 4-9 m/s, with gusts up to 14 m/s.

The minimum air temperature at night will be +12, and the maximum +18 degrees Celsius.

During the day the air will warm up to 23-29 degrees Celsius, and in the west the thermometer will not rise above 20-22 degrees.
