Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev announced the formal preconditions for a nuclear strike by Russia.
The politician was referring to the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Kursk region, but added that Russia is showing patience.
Dmitry Medvedev spoke about the formal prerequisites for Russia to respond with the use of nuclear weapons, writes MIA " Russia Today ".
Despite the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the territory of the Kursk region, which, according to Medvedev, is a formal prerequisite for the use of nuclear weapons, Russia is showing patience.
In his statement, the politician notes that no decision was made to use strategic or non-strategic nuclear weapons.
But for this, formal preconditions were created, which the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council calls understandable to the entire world community.
At the same time, Medvedev notes that such a decision on the part of the Russian Federation is extremely difficult.
And Russia’s nuclear response itself will lead to irreversible consequences, Medvedev has no doubt.
