The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned residents of two regions of Belarus about extreme fire danger

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus has issued a warning to residents of two regions of the country.

Citizens living in the Gomel and Mogilev regions were informed about a dangerous hydrometeorological phenomenon, classified as a storm warning.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this on its official Telegram channel.

According to information released by the department, today and tomorrow, September 9 and 10, in many areas of the specified regions, “extreme fire danger (5th class of flammability) is expected.”

The Ministry names the following potential threats as danger factors for these days:

– the occurrence of fires in natural ecosystems;
– the spread of fire to populated areas, power lines and communications.

As for the weather, the press service provides the latest data from Belarusian weather forecasters.

And they indicate that there is a possibility of light cloudiness with no precipitation.

The wind will blow from the southeast, its speed will be from 5 to 10 meters per second, but in the west of the country strong gusts are possible (up to 18 m/s).

The air temperature will be between +24 and +29 degrees, the report says.
