The Ministry of Education named the most expensive specialties in Belarusian higher education institutions.
These include those that are associated with a large volume of material support.
The head of the main department of professional education of the Ministry of Education, Sergei Pishchev, reported this to the Belta agency.
According to him, this year there have been about 100 cases where graduates refused to be assigned.
He added that the specific amount that a student will have to reimburse for tuition depends on the specialty and the university.
The most expensive specialties are those that are associated with high material support, primarily medical ones, said a representative of the ministry.
He noted that medical specialties involve a highly “individualized learning process.”
In addition, they include many practical laboratory classes, the specialist noted.
And at the level of secondary specialized education, the most expensive specialties are in the field of art.
This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Professional Education - Head of the Department of Vocational and Secondary Specialized Education of the Ministry of Education, Alexandra Petrova.
She explained this feature by “the availability of individual lessons.”
Because no one has yet figured out how to train pianists, for example, in a frontal way,” the department employee explained.
“With them,” she pointed out, “we should work according to an individual program.
