Autumn continues to surprise Belarusians. It is clear that September has barely begun, but nevertheless – the weather is quite warm, in some regions of the country – summer-like hot.

Moreover, it is so hot there that forecasters have once again declared a red alert for these areas.

We are talking about the Gomel and Mogilev regions, where meteorologists expect extreme fire danger on Monday and Tuesday (September 9 and 10).

Night coolness and day heat

Belhydromet reported this, stating that, in general, the first day of the new autumn work week will be marked by light cloudiness.

No precipitation is forecast for Monday. The wind will blow from the southeast during the day, moderate, but strong gusts are possible in the west of the republic.
