Traditionally, the autumn season is considered dangerous in terms of the activation of viral diseases - as a rule, an increase in the incidence of diseases is observed during this period.

In this regard, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Belarus made an important statement about schoolchildren in its official Telegram channel.

Their parents were reminded that during the period of increased incidence of viral infections, children who have been ill for no more than 5 days do not need to provide a certificate from a medical institution.

We are talking about a medical certificate of health, which will not be required for sick schoolchildren or students in certain cases.

Namely: in case of acute respiratory viral disease, they may be absent from classes at school, secondary specialized educational institutions and universities for 5 days. Without this certificate.

The Ministry of Health also indicated that “providing a certificate of temporary disability for these 5 days of illness is not required.”

The agency reported that this rule was established by its letter (No. 2-1-7/20422 dated October 6, 2023) and “is valid until further notice.”
