As a representative of Belhydromet reported, fog and thunderstorms were observed throughout the summer, and hail was also observed.
In some places it reached the criteria for a dangerous meteorological phenomenon – the diameter of hailstones was 20 millimetres or more.
Thus, at the hydrological post Lopatino (Pinsk region) on July 14, hail with a diameter of 25 millimeters was recorded.

Thus, at the Belitsa hydrological post (Lida district) on August 20, 95.7 millimeters of precipitation fell.
On July 18, Minsk recorded a record daily amount of precipitation – 88 millimeters. The previous record, recorded in August 2005, was 77.5 millimeters.
Wind speeds of up to 15 meters per second and more were observed, in some places it reached the criteria for a dangerous meteorological phenomenon with gusts of 25 meters per second and more.
The maximum wind speed – 29 meters per second – was recorded at the Gomel stations on June 14 and Kostyukovichi on July 18.
