The new school year has arrived in Belarus. On Monday, September 2, all schools in the country will hold ceremonial assemblies.
According to official data, today children will be accepted into over 2,600 general secondary education institutions.
According to the Belta agency , about 1.07 million schoolchildren will sit at their desks in the academic year that has just begun, of which approximately 105 thousand will be first-graders.
By the way, the latter, according to established tradition, will receive a gift – the publication “Belarus is our Motherland. A gift from the President of the Republic of Belarus A.R. Lukashenko to a first-grader”.
It is reported that from this academic year, 5 new educational institutions will operate in Belarus.
Among them:
– kindergarten-primary school in the city of Vitebsk (850 places);
– school in Soligorsk (930 places);
– a school in the village of Kopishche, Borovlyansky village council, Minsk region (1,020 places);
– Minsk Gymnasium No. 42 (will be located in a new building with 1,020 seats);
– Mogilev school (1,020 places).
Today, September 2, the first lesson will be held. Its theme is: "We have something to be proud of, we have something to protect!"
During the classes, children will be told about the achievements of Belarusians, which the whole country is proud of, as well as about the values that should be protected.
Some more statistics: it is planned to transport over 57,000 students on approximately 1,600 school buses.
As for preschool institutions, this year 3,700 kindergartens will accept about 355,000 little Belarusians.
