In early December, actress Kristina Asmus, known to many as Varya from the TV series Interns, was injured.
The misfortune happened to the actress right on stage during the performance of “Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District”.
15 minutes after the start of the performance, the actress injured her knee, but she continued to play, overcoming the pain.
Asmus recently shared details of the operation, which lasted four hours.
She was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament and damaged meniscus, which is why doctors had to “open up her right knee,” Rossiyskaya Gazeta quotes Asmus as saying.
After the intervention, Christina felt pain in both legs at once, since the material for “repairing” the ligaments had to be taken from the left knee.
Recovery promises to be long: according to doctors’ prognosis, it will take from 3 to 4 weeks.
For some time, the artist will have to move around on crutches and in compression stockings, but none of this matters, because next to her is her loved one, to whom Asmus is grateful for the support he has provided.
