Byakuya ice cream was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the most expensive in the world.
A serving of the delicacy, weighing 140 grams, costs $6,700.
The manufacturer of the record-breaking ice cream is Cellato, a company based in Japan.
The dessert contains not only traditional milk, but also cheese – two types, as well as egg yolks and leeks.
Another ingredient listed is the sediment that remains during sake production.
The expensive ice cream is covered with parmesan, white truffles, truffle oil and, of course, gold leaf – where would it be without it.
But gold is not the most expensive component of ice cream. It is priced so high because of the mushrooms the company buys in Italy. The price of one batch is almost 15 thousand dollars.
The ice cream is sold in a special black box. After paying for the purchase, you also receive a handmade metal spoon – it is made using the same technologies and materials that are used during the construction of temples and shrines.
