It is unlikely that any modern person can boast that his wardrobe contains clothes made exclusively from natural materials.
However, such clothes do exist and they are jeans and they were made back in 1879.
It was mainly the age of the denim clothing that led to its inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records.
Let us recall that denim pants with rivets were patented by Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis in 1873.
That is, six years after this event, the very jeans that have survived to this day were released.
And this is no longer a wardrobe item, but an auction lot.
By the way, shortly before the record was registered, the jeans were sold at auction for $40,000.
It would also be useful to know that these “pants” are insured for 150 thousand dollars.
It is also specified that they are made of 100% natural fabric, but the worn appearance and holes make the model relevant for modern fashionistas.
In fairness, it should be noted that in 1879, synthetic materials simply did not exist, which is perhaps why so much attention is being paid to this lot.
For reference
Jeans are trousers made of thick cotton fabric with riveted seams on the pockets.
