Carmen Del Orefici from America has made her mark not only on the catwalk, but also in the Guinness Book of Records.
The woman's achievement is that her modeling career has been recognized as the longest.
The American first appeared on the catwalk back in 1946, when Carmen was only 16 years old.
A head hunter from Ford's modeling agency noticed the girl even earlier - the teenager caught his eye at the age of 13 completely by accident, when they were riding a bus together.
As early as 1947, Del Orefici's face appeared on the cover of Vogue. Almost immediately, she entered the first division of models.
Despite her success, the American decided to leave the catwalk when she was over 30; at that time, she could only be seen in catalogues, on the pages of which were photographs of branded clothing.
In 1978, when Carmen was 47, she returned – despite her age and the graying hair, she was still just as sexy on the cover of Vogue.
In the 90s, the woman tried herself as an actress, appearing in films by Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese.
She still attends social events and fashion shows.
