Estonian tightrope walker Jaan Ruz has become the first person in the world to travel from Asia to Europe in a very unusual way.
For this, the 32-year-old athlete chose a rope.
The man completed the journey in 47 minutes, all the while moving along a rope stretched between the supports of the Bosphorus Bridge.
The length of the rope was 1074 meters. The distance from the rope to the ground was no more and no less than 165 meters.
Roose said he was truly happy to make history.
The man has been involved in slacklining for many years: he became interested in this activity at the age of 18.
During this time, he became a three-time world champion in rope walking.
Jaan is also the first (and only) athlete to perform a double backflip on a rope.
The record holder has at least one more achievement to his credit: in July of this year, he became the first person in history to walk a tightrope over the Strait of Messina, which connects Sicily with mainland Italy.
Then he covered a distance of 3.6 kilometers in three hours.
