Italians Manuel Zoldan and Gianluca Folco set a new record for the fastest wheel change on a car, which was only running on one pair of wheels – the left side.
Manuel was responsible for keeping the vehicle balanced on two wheels, while Gianluca was responsible for the actual replacement.
We almost forgot about the third “hero” of this story – an elderly BMW sedan.
To break the previous record, Gianluca was forced to climb onto the back of the car and change the wheels while balancing on the vehicle.
Of course, this would have been problematic if the BMW had not undergone preliminary preparation: the car was equipped with additional suspension for the wheels, a container for bolts and a stand where the “tire fitter” could put his feet.
However, all the efforts made were not in vain.
Zoldan and Folko completed the wheel change in 1 minute and 17.64 seconds.
