Running a hundred meters in 16 seconds is, frankly speaking, not much of an achievement, since any schoolchild can cope with this task.

But there is a man who was included in the Guinness Book of Records for this. The thing is that he ran on all fours, and trained for 10 years.

31-year-old Japanese Kenichi Ito trained in running on all fours for 10 years.

He borrowed his running style from the African patas monkeys.

At the same time, the man developed his running skills so much that he managed to break his own record.

If the first time he managed to cover the hundred meters in 17.23 seconds, then his new achievement is 16.87 seconds.

It is interesting that in 10 years there have been so many fans of this sport that competitions had to be held.

The founder of running on all fours himself was so carried away by the idea that he hoped for its inclusion in the Olympic sports program in 2020.

Considering that at the Tokyo Olympics athletes moved mainly on two limbs, the initiative of the Japanese runner apparently did not interest the members of the IOC Executive Committee.
