Milk squirted from his eye: why Ilker Yilmaz got into the Guinness Book of Records

Turkish resident Ilker Yilmaz set a record by sucking milk from his palm through his nose and spitting it out through his left eye a distance of 9.2 feet (about 2.8 meters).

Yilmaz hoped that his achievement would attract the attention of Guinness World Records agents, and he was not mistaken.

Ilker is one of the few people in the world who can demonstrate such abilities, and he has the abnormal features of his lacrimal gland to thank for this.

As Istanbul-based doctor Mahir Kendisim explained, Yilmaz has an unusual cavity between his lower eyelid and nasal cavity.

The uniqueness of this case lies not so much in the very fact of the existence of this cavity, but in the fact that it was somehow possible to use it in practice.

A person who is not familiar with the Book of Records might think that Ilker is the first and only person to set such a record.

However, the reality turns out to be much more surprising.

A certain Mike Moraal from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has performed a similar stunt before.

However, Moraal was only able to throw the liquid 8.745 feet, which is 2.66 meters, while Yilmaz managed to surpass this figure by almost 15 cm.
