In 2023, the oldest car in the world passed its technical inspection, but it will still not be released onto public roads.

The car is over a hundred years old, which is why the vehicle rarely leaves the Einbeck Museum in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The oldest car

The vehicle in question is Benz Victoria No. 99.

It was built in 1894 and underwent a technical inspection in 2023, as reported in the Augsburger Allgemeine.

As drivers say, the car “passed” the technical inspection itself and received permission to participate in road traffic for two years.

It is also worth noting that the vehicle is still registered, and is not just listed as an exhibit in the aforementioned museum.

However, the Benz Victoria No. 99 is prohibited from driving on motorways.

It’s not even that instead of LED optics it has candle lights, and instead of turn signals it uses signal flags.

The rarity's 3-liter, single-cylinder engine is simply not capable of pushing out more than 27 km/h.

Earlier it became known why the golden rottweiler Finley from New York got into the Guinness Book of Records.
