While some people smile with 32 (or less) teeth, Kalpana Balan from India has a truly unique smile.
She began to grow extra molars, located at the level of the usual fourth and fifth teeth, that is, molars and premolars, when she was still a teenager.
The surprised parents took the girl to the dentist, who advised removing the extra teeth.
True, it was necessary to wait a little, since at that time they had not yet grown fully and the procedure would have been too painful.
However, due to fear, Kaplan never decided to get rid of her extra teeth.
This allowed her to become the female record holder for the largest number of teeth – the young woman has 38 of them.
Two extra teeth have grown on the upper jaw, and four more on the lower jaw. But that's not the limit: judging by the pictures, Kalpana may get two more teeth at any moment.
But even with this number of incisors and canines, the girl does not measure up to Canadian Evano Mellone, who made it into the pages of the Guinness Book of Records thanks to his 41 teeth.
Earlier we wrote about how the American who broke 63 pencils in 30 seconds was preparing for a record .
