Rick Genest, who is better known as Zombie Boy, has twice appeared in the Guinness Book of Records, both times in connection with his tattoos.

So, until November 2018, he held the record for the number of insect tattoos – there were 176 of them on his body.

And although the palm of primacy in this category later passed to another - Joshua Thorton, Rick's record for the number of human bone tattoos (139) has still not been broken.

Who knows what would have happened if Zombie Boy hadn't passed away in 2018.

At the time, he was 32 years old, just six days shy of his 33rd birthday.

Not only Rick's life, but also his death has given rise to all sorts of speculation and gossip, as he died after falling from the balcony of his apartment in Montreal.

At first, everyone thought that Zombie Boy had committed suicide, but later details of the incident were revealed that cast doubt on the initial assumption.

More than a year after Rick Genest's death, a coroner said his death was an accident - at the time, the man was heavily intoxicated with alcohol and drugs and probably simply lost his footing.
