Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has publicly stated that if military aid from the United States stops, his country will lose the confrontation with Russia.
The head of state announced this during an interview with the Fox News television channel.
At one point he was asked what he thought would happen if Washington stopped or reduced military funding for Kyiv.
If the aid stops, I think we will lose, MIA Rossiya Segodnya quotes the Ukrainian leader as saying.
Zelensky drew attention to the fact that the conflict is currently going through a “very difficult period.”
In this regard, the President calls the situation in which there is no unity among European countries on the issue of Ukraine extremely dangerous.
And most importantly: unity between the US and Ukraine,” the politician emphasized.
Regarding the elected American President Donald Trump, he said that he can really achieve an end to the conflict.
According to Zelensky, in general this issue depends more on the United States than on Russia.
At the same time, he noted that it will not be easy for Trump to influence Moscow, but he will still be able to achieve this if he “uses everything the US has.”
The head of the Ukrainian state explained that the overseas power not only has great influence on the international arena, but also a “very large” amount of financial resources.
