The Ukrainian Armed Forces have planned operations with long-range weapons for next year, despite the fact that Western countries have not yet approved their use.
This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, in an interview with the Ukrainian publication “Left Bank”.
What Umerov said about operations with long-range weapons
The head of the Ukrainian defense department stated that all operations planned for next year will be carried out.
At the same time, the minister answered affirmatively to clarifying questions about whether he meant operations outside of Ukraine and whether they included the use of long-range weapons.
We have planned everything, and now we only need the support of our partners, ” Umerov said.
Kyiv has repeatedly asked its allies to lift restrictions on strikes deep into Russia by Western long-range missiles.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is currently in the United States, raises this issue almost daily.
Yesterday, the American publication The Washington Post reported that Ukraine has not yet managed to convince the United States that strikes deep into Russia could turn the tide in favor of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The head of Zelensky's office, Andriy Yermak, stated that France and Great Britain have not yet given permission to use their long-range SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles against targets in the Russian Federation.
