Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan believes that the conflict in Ukraine must be resolved on the basis of the integrity of its territory.

The head of the Foreign Ministry made this statement in an interview with the Hurriyet publication.

A fair resolution to the war must be found within the framework of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, the diplomat was quoted as saying by MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

He also noted that the search for common ground between Russia and Ukraine is currently ongoing.

Let us recall that back in June, Vladimir Putin proposed initiatives regarding the settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Thus, he said that the Russian Federation would immediately cease fire and announce its readiness for negotiations on the condition that Kiev withdraws its troops from the new Russian regions.

The second condition, he said, is that Ukraine must abandon its plans to join NATO.

Another condition: Kyiv must carry out demilitarization and denazification, as well as adopt a neutral, non-aligned and non-nuclear status.
