It recently became known that the Supreme Court of Belarus recognized the Kastus Kalinovsky Regiment as a terrorist organization.
The corresponding verdict was issued following a closed hearing on the civil case that took place on Wednesday, September 25.
It was considered at the request of the Prosecutor General, the press service of the Supreme Court reported.
The statement concerned the recognition of the informal organization “Regiment named after Kastus Kalinovsky” as terrorist.
Also, the assignment of such status to the structural units of this organization, the Volat Battalion, the Lithuanian Battalion, the Western Battalion, Tango-Romeo, etc., was initiated.
The Supreme Court granted the Prosecutor General’s application: the named organization and its subdivisions were recognized as terrorist, and its activities in Belarus were banned.
The court's decision comes into legal force immediately after its announcement and is not subject to appeal or protest, the press service summed up.
