The Central Electoral Commission of Belarus has registered three more initiative groups to nominate presidential candidates.
Two groups were rejected, the CEC press service reported on Telegram.

Today, the Central Election Commission registered the initiative groups of 2020 presidential campaign participant Anna Kanopatskaya, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Sergei Syrankov, and Deputy Head of the Advisory Department of the Ministry of Defense, member of the Belaya Rus party Sergei Bobrikov.
Diana Kovaleva and Viktor Kulesh's groups were denied registration. Kovaleva's group was not registered due to an insufficient number of group members.
Kulesh's group was rejected due to failure to provide a list of group members.
Earlier, the Central Election Commission registered the initiative groups of the incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko, the head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the head of the Minsk city organization of the Belarusian Union of Women Olga Chemodanova, the leader of the Republican Party of Labor and Justice (RPTS) Alexander Khizhnyak and the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus (LDPB) Oleg Gaidukevich.
Thus, 7 people are planning to run for president.
According to the calendar plan of organizational events for the preparation and holding of the presidential elections, the collection of signatures is planned from November 7 to December 6, and the acceptance of documents for registration of candidates is from December 7 to 21.
Registration of candidates will take place from December 22 to 31, and pre-election campaigning will take place from January 1 to 25.
Early voting will begin on January 21. The main voting day is January 26.
The election results will be determined no later than February 5. A second round, if necessary, will take place no later than February 9.
