NATO's approach to the borders of Belarus and Russia, coupled with the general turbulence in Eastern Europe, does not exclude any scenarios.
This statement was made by the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov.
He noted that the CSTO is closely monitoring the situation developing in the region, where the organization’s area of responsibility lies.
He reported that there is an “advancement of NATO offensive infrastructure towards the western borders of Belarus and Russia” and that military activity is increasing.
And in general, probably, the geopolitical turbulence that we are observing cannot exclude any scenarios at all, TASS quotes the Secretary General as saying.
He added that an Alliance invasion of the western borders of Belarus and Russia would be "absolute recklessness."
Tasmagambetov reminded NATO members about the changed Russian nuclear doctrine, as well as about the combat tests of the Oreshnik.
According to him, the latest weapon currently has no analogues in the world.
