The deployment of a peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine would mean direct participation of the West in the conflict.
This was stated on November 29 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikhail Galuzin, commenting on information from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service about the West’s plans to deploy 100,000 peacekeepers in Ukraine.
The statement by the Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is quoted by TASS .
What Galuzin said about the West's plans to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine
Today the SVR reported that the West plans to occupy Ukraine by deploying 100,000 peacekeepers.
Such plans, if an attempt is made to implement them, will mean even greater involvement of the West in a direct military confrontation with Russia, Galuzin commented.
According to the deputy minister, Russia will respond in accordance with emerging threats.
Such answers have already been given. This line will be continued, - assured the Deputy Head of the Russian MFA.
According to him, the West and Kyiv should not have any illusions that they will be able to force the Russian Federation to sacrifice its interests with their provocative actions.
