The Russian diplomatic mission called Grossi's statement unacceptable and beyond his authority.

It is completely inexplicable on what basis the IAEA leadership is taking it upon itself to judge the prospects of the notorious “freeze,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement .

They recalled that IAEA experts are at the Zaporizhzhya NPP with Moscow’s consent.

And strictly as long as our country considers their presence there justified, the department added.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also expressed hope that Grossi will not go beyond his competence in the future.
