Russia will transfer the latest Oreshnik missile system to Belarus in the second half of next year.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

During the meeting, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko asked his Russian counterpart to place Oreshnik in Belarus.
The Russian President considered the deployment of Oreshnik in Belarus possible in the second half of next year.
This will become possible, I think, in the second half of next year, said the head of the Russian state.
He noted that Oreshnik has no analogues in the world and, if used in a group, is comparable to the use of nuclear weapons.
