Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about important events in the country's history in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.
The conversation turned to the Crimean War, which, according to some historians, became the progenitor of world wars and received the ordinal number “zero”.
In a conversation with Pavel Zarubin, Vladimir Putin noted that “everything changes,” but only the interests of “Russia and its people” remain unchanged, reports MIA “ Russia Today .”
As an example, President Putin cited the times of the Crimean War.
As it turned out, even then Western politicians largely blamed Russia, in particular for the fact that the state isolated itself and did not respond to the injustices occurring in the world.
In response, Vladimir Putin continues, “the then chancellor and minister of foreign affairs sent a dispatch to all our diplomatic missions in Europe,” explaining how to react to such statements.
There were famous words there: "Russia is not angry, Russia is concentrating." And gradually, as Russia concentrated, it regained all its rights in the Black Sea and strengthened itself, the Russian President emphasized.
As for the Crimean War, which historians call the “zero” world war, all European states were drawn into it.
But already in the First World War, countries that had previously fought against Russia became its allies, Vladimir Putin summed up.
