Russia will not allow Ukraine to acquire nuclear weapons.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this on November 28 at a press conference following his visit to Kazakhstan.

Journalists asked Putin what Russia would do if nuclear weapons were transferred to Ukraine.
In this case, we will use all means of destruction at Russia's disposal. We will not allow this, - the head of the Russian state responded.
Speaking about the possibility of Ukraine creating nuclear weapons, the Russian President noted that Kyiv is only capable of a “dirty bomb.”
But even in this case, the response will be absolutely adequate to the threats of the Russian Federation, Putin added.
