Recently it became known about a failed attempt by Polish special services to recruit a Belarusian diplomat in Moldova.
Information was also released that the Poles offered the Belarusian 100,000 euros.
As reported on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, the diplomat from the Republic of Belarus was recruited by Colonel Martin Grabovich, a native of the city of Slupsk.
Who is this recruiter?
Some details from his dossier have been revealed: after graduating from university, he served in the Polish Internal Security Agency.
Mainly specialized in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
This man then served in the Polish Intelligence Agency. He completed combat training courses in Israel.
He worked undercover in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the diplomatic security department and headed the residency in Lithuania and Latvia.
From the end of 2021 to the present day, he is the official representative of the Polish Intelligence Agency in Ukraine.
Bag of money
It was he who suggested that the Belarusian diplomat meet in one of the restaurants in Chisinau.
In a catering establishment, he told his interlocutor that he had a gift, but forgot it at the hotel, and therefore invited him to his room.
There he took money out of his bag – 100,000 euros. All the bills were 100 euros.
Then they were joined by a colleague of Grabovich, who introduced himself as Pawel Nowak (he is also a representative of the Polish Intelligence Agency).
The Belarusian filmed these gentlemen on his mobile phone camera.
It turned out that the duo had booked rooms in the hotel from Monday to Friday. But after the unsuccessful recruitment, both Poles disappeared, not even handing over the keys to the rooms.
Reaction of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry
In connection with this situation, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared a note addressed to Poland; the agency does not rule out taking other measures.
The ministry's press secretary, Anatoly Glaz, called the incident "an outrageous incident."
This cannot remain without reactions. We have already prepared a corresponding note to the Polish side, he said.
The diplomat admits that other steps may follow, and placed all responsibility for the incident on Warsaw.
