Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denied reports in American media about a telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.

Let us recall that The Washington Post, citing its sources, reported that the dialogue took place shortly after it became known that the Republican had won the US presidential election.

It was noted that the conversation was initiated by Trump, who called the Russian leader.

The publication also wrote that the former called on his interlocutor not to escalate the conflict in Ukraine.

According to the newspaper, Trump assured Putin that he was interested in continuing contact to resolve the issue of settling the conflict.

Dmitry Peskov said that the politicians have not yet called each other, and the information about the conversation, according to him, does not correspond to reality.

This is the most obvious example of the quality of the information that is now published sometimes even in fairly respected publications. This is completely untrue. This is pure fiction. This is simply false information, - the press secretary of the Russian president is quoted by MIA "Russia Today".

He separately noted that there are currently no specific plans regarding dialogue between Putin and Trump.
