Journalists asked Peskov to comment on the information in the Belarusian media about the opposition's plan to invade Belarus and the statement by the head of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, that the West wants to open a second front in Belarus and create a new anti-Russian foothold there.
The Kremlin representative noted that the intelligence services of the two countries are in constant contact on the topic of threats to Belarus.
This topic is constantly discussed at the highest level, added the press secretary of the head of the Russian state.
Peskov recalled that the Russian Federation has obligations to ensure the security of Belarus within the framework of the Union State.
These commitments are included in the Nuclear Policy Framework, which was recently published, he stressed.
