The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, made an official statement regarding the murder of the head of the NBC protection troops, General Igor Kirillov.
He reported: The Kremlin knows who ordered this terrorist attack.
He also said that Moscow will continue the fight against “this Nazi regime.”
Of course, we know who ordered this terrorist attack, and we are fighting those who ordered it, we are fighting this Nazi regime and we will continue to fight, TASS quotes the Kremlin’s official representative as saying.
At the same time, Peskov chose not to answer journalists’ questions about whether Moscow has information about the involvement of third countries in the general’s murder.
The civil servant only noted that currently “an investigation is underway, and the employees of the competent authorities are working very effectively.”
Peskov also reported that although “not much time has passed, much has already become known.”
According to Vladimir Putin's press secretary, all details of the crime will be revealed.
When asked whether it was planned to strengthen the security of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, he said the following: “A terrorist attack is a terrorist attack.”
Earlier it was reported that the perpetrator of the terrorist attack against Igor Kirillov, which also resulted in the death of his assistant Ilya Polikarpov, had been detained.
The detainee is a 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan. During interrogation, he admitted that he was recruited by Ukrainian special services and acted on their instructions.
For completing the task, he was promised $100,000 and travel to one of the EU countries.
