What Peskov said about the West's plans to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine
Today the SVR reported that the West is planning to occupy Ukraine by introducing 100,000 peacekeepers.
The deployment of peacekeepers is possible only with the consent of the parties to a particular conflict, Peskov said, answering a question about whether Moscow would allow the deployment of any peacekeeping contingent in Ukraine, for example, a United Nations mission.
To resolve the conflict, the Kremlin representative continued, it is necessary to eliminate its root causes.
Here, everything is much deeper than the direction of the peacekeeping mission, the press secretary of the head of the Russian state stated.
According to Peskov, one should also take into account the theses outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his June speech at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
