The Central Electoral Commission of Belarus has completed accepting documents for the registration of initiative groups to nominate presidential candidates.
Nine people expressed their desire to run for president.

Who will run for president of Belarus
At present, the initiative groups of the current President Alexander Lukashenko, the head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee Olga Chemodanova, the leader of the RPTS Alexander Khizhnyak and the leader of the LDPB Oleg Gaidukevich have been registered.
The documents of the initiative groups of Anna Kanopatskaya, Diana Kovaleva, Sergei Syrankov, Sergei Bobrikov and Viktor Kulesh will be reviewed on Monday.
According to the calendar plan of organizational events for the preparation and holding of the presidential elections, signature collection will be carried out from November 7 to December 6.
From December 7 to 21, the Central Election Commission will accept documents for registration of candidates.
Registration of candidates is scheduled from December 22 to 31, and election campaigning from January 1 to 25.
Early voting starts on January 21. The main voting day is January 26.
The Central Election Commission will establish the election results no later than February 5. The second round, if necessary, will take place no later than February 9.
