How Rutte acknowledged the advance of the Russian Armed Forces along the entire front line
The NATO Secretary General expressed hope that the alliance countries will be able to put Ukraine in a position of strength when the time comes for negotiations.
At present, Rutte continued, the front in Ukraine is moving west.
Russia is moving forward along the entire front line, the organization’s leader said.
He called on the alliance countries to supply Ukraine not only with air defense systems to protect the energy grid, but also with offensive weapons to strike Russia.
In order to use such weapons, the NATO Secretary General noted, Kyiv must provide more recruits.
We must be sure that there are still people inside Ukraine, Rutte said.
He also said that the alliance's new command in Wiesbaden, which was supposed to start work in the fall, will be up and running by the end of the year.
