US President-elect Donald Trump was interested in the point about access to resources in the plan for the victory of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The British publication Financial Times writes about this, citing sources.

What Interested Trump in Zelensky's Plan

As the FT reports, the Ukrainian government is tailoring its victory plan to the incoming Trump administration, focusing on access to raw materials, potential business deals and troop deployments.

According to the publication's sources, Ukraine's European and American allies, including leading representatives of the Republican Party, have given Kyiv advice on how best to formulate proposals to stimulate closer cooperation.

Two ideas were outlined in the plan for Zelensky's victory, with Trump in mind, the FT writes.

Zelensky presented these proposals to Trump at a meeting in New York on September 27. One of the proposals envisages a partial replacement of American troops based in Europe with Ukrainian troops after the end of the conflict.

The second idea, first voiced by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as an extremist and terrorist in Russia), envisages providing Western countries with access to Ukraine's natural resources.

Trump was interested in both points, one of the publication’s sources said.

On October 18, Zelensky presented his plan for victory in the Verkhovna Rada. The document, containing 5 points and 3 secret additions, provides, in particular, for inviting Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance, lifting restrictions on strikes deep into the Russian Federation, and deploying a comprehensive non-nuclear deterrent package to Russia in Ukraine.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called Zelensky’s plan a set of incoherent slogans.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that the real peace plan for Ukraine would be Kiev's recognition of the futility of its policies.
