Alexander Lukashenko made an important statement during his speech at the CSTO summit in Astana.
The President of Belarus reported that NATOification of Europe and the world as a whole is currently underway.
This process, he warned, is fraught with very dire consequences, including the destruction of the planet.
He noted that every year the CSTO records a deterioration in the global situation.
The problem, according to Lukashenko, is not even that the system of checks and balances that ensures international security has “sunk into oblivion.”
We are taking an unforgivably long time to create alternative legal mechanisms, the head of state’s press service quotes him as saying.
Against this backdrop, the arms race is rapidly unfolding, and Eastern Europe, especially Poland, continues to be militarized, he noted.
The NATOification of Europe and the world as a whole is underway, the speaker stated.
He drew attention to the escalation of military conflicts and hotbeds of tension in many regions of the world.
Clinging to its elusive dominance, the West increasingly speaks the language of weapons, turning a blind eye to the threat of a nuclear confrontation that could destroy the entire planet, Lukashenko said.
