Alexander Lukashenko stated Belarus’s readiness to cooperate with Ukraine on the basis of the same principles as with the DPR.
He informed the head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, who arrived in Minsk on a visit, about this.
We are ready to cooperate with Ukraine on the same principles as with the Donetsk Republic, the President of Belarus was quoted as saying by his press service.
He reminded his interlocutor that the republic accepts children from Donbass for treatment and vacation. And they are "very happy."
However, the head of state added, for this he was almost “dragged to some court,” accused of stealing Donbass children.
Well, I suggested to both Ukraine and the Americans: please, come and find at least one kidnapped child. These are not our principles, Lukashenko said.
In this regard, he once again confirmed his intention to continue interaction with the DPR without violating international norms and the norms of “our relations.”
The Belarusian leader emphasized that such work is being carried out “in the name of the people.”
If you have a problem with construction, we will support you and help you. If you have a problem with someone getting medical treatment or education, we are ready to cooperate with you, the President explained.
And he noted: it is on these principles that Belarus is ready to cooperate with Ukraine.
We are peace-loving people. Our friendship and cooperation are based only on peace, - said Alexander Lukashenko.
