Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke about the situation in the Middle East and Ukraine in a joint statement following talks in Islamabad.

The President of Belarus and the Prime Minister of Pakistan called for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon and strikes in Syria.
The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the creation of an independent state based on a two-state formula in accordance with the decisions of the UN Security Council and General Assembly.
Lukashenko and Sharif also emphasized the paramount importance of resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
They noted that the conflict in Ukraine has far-reaching consequences for global security and stability.
The Belarusian President and Pakistani Prime Minister called on all involved to prioritize negotiations and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at establishing lasting peace in the region.
