Alexander Lukashenko addressed Belarusian customs officers – management, personnel and veterans.

The President congratulated the country's customs service workers on their professional holiday – Customs Officer's Day.

The message specifically emphasizes the fact that the economic security and stability of the republic largely depends on customs officials.

According to him, the following play an important role in the country's economic growth:

sustainable replenishment of the republican budget;
– effective fight against smuggling;
– creation of favorable conditions for foreign economic activity of domestic enterprises.

The President also said that in the current conditions it helps to protect the domestic market and ensure the smooth functioning of organizations and transport logistics.

According to him, as quoted by the press service of the head of state, this is “work in advance, a correct forecast of the situation and comprehensive decisions taken in response to unfriendly steps by neighboring states.”

Lukashenko separately thanked the veterans, whose experience and knowledge allow young employees to effectively carry out urgent tasks for customs.

The Belarusian leader wished all fellow customs officers health, family well-being and new achievements for the benefit of their country.
